It is a joy to spend time in the enchanting ambience of this lovely stone house, where every window frames a view of this magical village. The unique open-plan design, a complete rarity in Deia houses, creates an expansive feel and allows for extremely easy living. The heart of the home is the lovely living and dining areas, complete with high ceilings and delightful fireplace. This opens to a large terrace, creating a seamless, single level of indoor and outdoor living. The bright, airy atmosphere, most unusual to find in mountain houses, gives this property an especially uplifting feel, while the large terrace with infinity pool accentuates the indoor-outdoor flow, and allows for further relishing of the unique light, as well as serenity of the landscape, for which Deia is famed. The self-contained guest accommodation adds huge flexibility and convenience, allowing the house to be used either with, or without, this element.
About the property
Located in the heart of Deia, this stunning house understands all the expectations and needs of comfortable modern living, and delivers them without forgetting for a moment the unique character that sets the village apart. While the doors will almost certainly be flung wide throughout the summer, efficient central heating and highly effective air conditioning ensure comfort at any time of year. Considering together its configuration, beautiful design, and unparalleled location, this is far from just a home; this is a true sanctuary, offering its owner tranquility, great comfort, and the very epitome of Mallorcan village living.
Sometimes, a property marks itself out as being more than simply 'special'. This is such a property. As well as the huge plus of the variable capacity (if you don't need the guest space you don't even need to open it up) this is the easiest lock-up-and-leave house, with perhaps the lowest maintenance requirements, imaginable. Set on a considerable 1,754m2 plot, the surrounding mountainside gardens are mature and lush, transforming every moment spent sitting on the upper terrace, or each after-swim sunbathe by the infinity pool, into an opportunity to soak up some of Deia's most magical vistas.

Deia
With dramatic views of the Mediterranean, the coastal village of Deia, in the North West of the island south of Soller, lies in a steep valley at the foot of the Teix mountain.
The village's unique and ever-changing ambience has been a magnet for artists, poets and writers for more than a century. In modern times it has been a home from home for some of the music business's best known names, whose privacy and anonymity are respected here by all, simply as a matter of course.
With its traditional green-shuttered, honey-coloured stone houses, Deia is one of the prettiest villages in the Balearics. In the centre of the Serra de Tramuntana World Heritage Site, from the village it's easy to spend unforgettable summer days dipping in and out of the sea at Cala Deia, travelling from cove to cove and dining on perfect paella at Ca’s Patro March. In the late afternoon, the sinking sun paints the surrounding mountains an incredible burnt orange, tinged with all the shades of indigo, violet and pink imaginable.
Evenings, too, are a delight in Deia. Dine at the Michelin-starred Es Raco des Teix or one of the other intimate eateries, before moving on to enjoy a fabulous late night at Sa Fonda.
